In the first session, your psychologist will complete an initial assessment with you, in order to better understand what bought you to therapy, your current coping patterns and supports (if relevant), treatment goals and aims, and general mental health history. Subsequent sessions will typically involve using a specific therapy approach, best suited to your current needs and presenting concerns. This may involve learning different skills targeting your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to improve your quality of life.
